Kell heliseb. Äratus. Kusagil lastakse kõlaritest kõva häälega
muusikat, väljas on juba valge, kõrvalt tubadest kostub ärkamise
hääli, tänavalt kuuleb saginat. Uus päev on alanud, temperatuur on 20
Meile on see
tempo harjumatu ning kibeleme kohe omi ettevõtmisi alustama ning
tehtud eesmärke täitma, kuid see saab olema siin raskem kui esmapilgul
tundub.
Kool, mida remondime, asub väga vanades hoonetes. Klassiruumid on
pimedad ning väikesed, lauad vanad ja katkised. Seinad on tehtud
Vee lisamisel saavutatakse
mass, mida on võimalik seina mätsida. Hinna poolest on see väga odav
tööriistad on sedavõrd erinevad Euroopas kasutatavatest.
Kohati tundub selle vana asja korda tegemine üsna mõttetu, kuna
headest oludest jääb asi siiski väga kaugele. Ruumi ei saa me juurde
tekitada. Kuid kui vaadata õpilaste tahet õppida, nende aktiivsust,
suurt arenemise soovi, siis saab alles aru, et isegi natuke paremateolude andmine neile lastele on suur asi. Kui saaks klassiruumid
värvitud, muutuksid need palju meeldivamaks ning heledad toonid
annaksid juurde valgust ning tekitaksid avarama tunde.
Koolid on siin väga tähtsal kohal. See on põhimõtteliselt ainuke
võimalus ennast sellest vaesusest välja aidata. Saada parem elu jaeneseareng. Inimesed austavad väga haridus ning kõik lapsevanemad,
kellel on vähegi võimalik haridust oma lastele võimaldada, teevad
seda. Euroopas on meile tehtud asjad nii lihtsaks. Koolist on saanud
Selja tagant jookseb pisike poisike,
seljas räbaldunud riided, üks plätu on ühest, teine teisest sordist.
Pesta pole see
laps vist saanud peale vihmaperioodi lõppu, sama kaua ka arvatavasti
tähelepanu. Laps jookseb, märkab mind, üllatub märgatavalt, valge
inimene on siin haruldus, ning jääb mind üksipilgu põrnitsema. Vaatan

The alarm goes on. Wake-up. Somewhere in distance you can hear loud music, it's light outside, from other rooms you can also hear people waking up, streets are already noisy. A new day has begun, it's 20 degrees outside, the sun is rising and it's getting warmer.
Every day here has brought us new emotions, sightseeings and shown the cultural and spiritual differences between our and their nation.
Concept of time, accuracy in business and speed get a totally new meaning here.
They don't rush, they live one day at the time and for us in a strange way they still get their things done. For us the tempo is something new, so we were anxious to start our programs and to achieve our goals, but it will be a bit harder as it seems.
We still depend on the locals and we have to keep in mind their wishes, needs and traditions. Luckily the people are positive with us and slowly we get things solved and can start with the renovation of the school.
The school is in a very old building. Classrooms are small and dark, tables old and broken. Walls have been made from clay which has crumbled or is almost falling off. A couple of days ago we took down the broken places and made a new wooden framing. Today a local came to help us to make the mixture of clay which consists of the clay and hay. By adding water, you get a texture which is approriate to add to the walls. It's very cheap and common here. Today was good to work, because it was a holiday and the school was empty.
We got almost all the walls fixed. A big thanks to the locals as well who have helped us in mind and physically as well, without them it would be quite impossible for us to solve things.
Technology, matherials and even tools are so different to the ones we use in Europe.
Time to time i think it is pointless to fix this old building, because it's far from perfect. We can't make more room here. But if you look how active the students are, how they want to learn and develop, then you can understand that even a little bit better conditions are a great deal. If we can get the classrooms painted, they would be more pleasant, lighter tones are going to give more light and give a more spacious feeling.
Schools are important here. This is basically the only possibility to get out of the poorness. To get a better life and be more developed. We still depend on the locals and we have to keep in mind their wishes, needs and traditions. People respect education and all parents able to provide education to their children, will do it. In Europe this is made so easy for us. School has become a chore, you can hear whining from children that it's hard, tiring and etc. Here only you can see the true value of education. Here no one pushes children, thee want to learn, develope and get new knowledge.
I was walking on a small street. A small boy was running behind me, wearing ragged clothes, on different slippers. Snott driping from his nose and flyis all around him. I think this child hasn't been washed since the rain season ended. Same with attention I guess.
So, the child was running, then he noticed me. He was so surprised to see a white person( a rarity here) and he was just staring at me. I was looking at him and just felt pitty. I could give him money for food, buy new clothes but this would not solve the problem. This child needs a personality, but it's achievable only through education.
